Event Update: 6/2/09

Assalamu'alykum !

Allahu Akbar! Last Saturday we were blessed with beautiful, sunny weather and a great crowd of believers -- over 5,000 strong -- at Muslim Funfest '09. Families enjoyed the time, and Muslims networked and bonded over delicacies like mega hamburgers, hotdogs, mango italian ice, and of course cotton candy while the kids enjoyed one of 15 rides, a rock climbing wall, pony ride and a petting zoo.

All in all, it was a great event that would not have been possible without the help of over 70 dedicated volunteers, young and old, who stayed on their feet for hours on end and made sure everyone was served, situated, and safe. Please make a special dua for all these volunteers who came from Maryland, Northern Virginia, and DC to make the event a resounding success.  Allahu Akbar!

Welcome to Muslim FunFest '09

Saturday, May 30, 2009 | 12 pm

The 2nd Annual Muslim FunFest Family Carnival is organized in an effort to bring all DC Metro Muslim communities together. The Muslim FunFest is a great opportunity for everyone to come out and enjoy a day of outdoor fun with family and friends.  

We had about 2,000 people come out to the 1st Annual Muslim FunFest last year...check out last year's pictures.  This year we are anticipating 3,000 people, insha'Allah.


Rides, Games & Lots of Fun for the whole Family

This year we have added new exciting rides and activities to provide a wonderful  experience for everyone. Please check out the rides page for a complete list.

Come out and climb the 28' Rock Wall, race on the 44-ft obstacle course, and go on dozen other exciting rides. Enjoy the variety of products offered at the Bazaar, test your game skills with various carnival games, watch your child ride the pony around the 180-acre scenic private farm while you sit under one of the three large pavilions enjoying your cotton  candy and the beautiful scenery.

By the grace and will of Allah, the Muslim FunFest '08 provided a day to remember for all. There were close to 2,000 people. The smile on the faces of children told the whole story.
